Decatur WatchFest Information!
What is the WatchFest?

The World Cup is incoming, and that means that the Decatur WatchFest is on the horizon! What is the WatchFest, I hear you asking silently in your head? It is a 34 day long celebration of soccer, right here in the Decatur Square! Live music events, merch drops, soccer matches screened both inside Decatur pubs and outside on the big screen; read up on the festival here and on the WatchFest website. Here are some of the highlights!
Live Events

Performing at the Decatur WatchFest are numerous music acts including Big Boi, War and Treaty, and the Indigo Girls (tickets have sold out for the time being, so make sure you sign up for email updates through their site to be alerted for Wave Two tickets coming available!) There are plenty of free music performances you can attend as well; Atlanta local band The Stews, fresh off playing Bonnaroo, will be performing at the WatchFest on June 15th.
There's also a youth soccer tournament on Saturday June 20th where soccer fans aged 5-12 can participate. Led by Decatur High School players and coaches with an emphasis on fun and participation, it's a great way for kids to enjoy the fun of competition.
Merch

You know it's all about the swag. If you went but didn't get yourself a keepsake, did it even count? There are Decatur WatchFest branded glasses, koozies, scarves (and I mean, the scarf is seriously fresh): if you want to get in on the sick merch drops then check out the swag shop online or at participating venues during the festival.
The Decatur WatchFest boasts numerous opportunities to enjoy free live entertainment, as well as to join up with the Decatur community and enjoy the upcoming World Cup games. Come walk the square, have a drink at a local pub and watch the game with fellow Decatur soccer fans!
